The area around Kyustendil and Sovolyano is full (!) of cherry trees, all heavily laden with ripe cherries. We bought some to take back to Sofia with us. And the trip to and from, as was the case with both Blagoevgrad and Plovdiv, was filled with spectacular scenery - mountains, valleys, rivers, etc., etc. Perhaps you think I'm crazy for marveling so at the scenery here, but when you're used ....
